Item Description

A STRIKING near-floater, this CABINET specimen is composed of lustrous, transparent, golden-amber Gypsum twins to 3.8 cm on a matrix of smaller Gypsum crystals. From the famous Red River Floodway of Canada, these unique specimens are found in the clay of ancient Red River water beds outside Winnipeg. This is an unusually large and fine specimen for the locality, with very little bruising. Exceptional material with excellent fluoresence. They were collected under license and permit, and there is no more production.
