Item Description
A full-sized miniature display specimen featuring attractive beige colored crystals of Gypsum which have formed in beautiful "fishtail"-shaped twins. The piece is complete all around, and the only damage is on the base where the piece was separated from the pocket wall. The piece has an almost fossilized appearance on the surface and looks like it's almost organic, like bone or coral. This is the very first specimen we've ever had to offer from this mine, so if you collect Gypsum specimens, or oddball locality specimens, don't miss out on this attractive piece from an obscure locale. From the collection of Richard A. Kosnar, well-known mineral dealer and collector from Colorado, and the namesake for the phosphate species Kosnarite.
