Gypsum

Item Description

Please note, I'm not sure if this locality information is correct, the piece came with a small hand written note that simply said "Balso, Spain", so I'm assuming it's the Balsa-Depositara Mine. It features very sharp, gemmy/translucent, well-formed, white/colorless, "pearly" "sword-shaped" crystals of Gypsum on matrix. Great shape overall and really showy. Matrix Gypsum specimens are not terribly easy to find, especially from Spain.
