Item Description

When I first saw this material, I thought that that they were some of the most impressive, flashy and colorful specimens of Gypsum I have seen in years. This specimen consists of excellent, aesthetic, razor-sharp, golden color, gemmy crystals of Gypsum. This "floater" specimen formed in a calcium clay/sediment and has no point of attachment. It shows distinct golden-orange "fishtail"-twins measuring up to 3.6 x 3.3 cm sitting on a "ball" of golden-brown Gypsum. The color of the larger tiwns is very attractive for the species. The material is also very fluorescent! Another important aspect of this specimen is that it is NOT repaired, which makes a difference with this material. Don't miss out on what I'm sure will be considered a Canadian "classic" in years to come.
