Item Description
The Groutites in this specimen are euhedral, blocky crystals about 1 mm in size. For the species, the high luster is superb. What I like most about this specimen are the overall aesthetics. The Groutites are concentrated in three 'seams' that run across and along the plate, resting on a bed of white to clear Calcite. There is also a dusting of individual Groutite crystals all over the surface of the plate. The Calcite is also fluorescent. The overall geometry allows the Groutites as a whole to be aesthetic and appreciated. Charlie Key indicated this was quite rare, and I have not seen another.
