Item Description
A rare large hessonite grossular garnet from this obscure locality in Northern Territory, Australia. The classic, lustrous, mottled orange-red dodecahedron has beautiful gemmy areas of rich orange color. Embedded quartz is an accessory. The specimen may be from a short-lived commercial venture in the early 1980s for facet rough. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 2000. RARE large hessonite from the locale.
