A classic and excellent combination specimen from this locality, noted for fine hessonite garnets. An 8 mm, sharp, hessonite is aesthetically set in a vug lined with lustrous, gray-green, clinochlore "books". The brilliant luster, translucent crystal is a textbook dodecahedron beveled by the trapezohedron. The crystal is brownish-red and black in normal light, but glows with deep cherry-red color saturation, when under bright light or backlit. Classic combination material from this famous locale.
