Item Description
Historical east coast material from potentially the 1970’s and 1980’s finds at the Belvidere Mountain Quarries in Vermont. The specimen is showcased by gem cinnamon to orange Grossular Garnets on mostly translucent light green Diopside crystals. The striking Garnets occur as three isolated groupings of intergrown crystals. Under lighting they have an internal glow that jumps out and captures the eye. The piece has unfortunate damage to one of the grossular groups, it is what it is, but given the scarcity of the material it is still a nice representative example of this limited find. Donated by Well Arranged Molecules to the MINDAT auction.
