Item Description

Here's a great European Alpine "classic". One of the most recognized associations from the Alps are the beautiful red Grossular and green Clinochlore combinations from Italy. This piece features a few sharp, lustrous, translucent, reddish-orange color dodecahedral crystals with trapezohedral modifications of Grossular (variety: "Hessonite") with deep green "rosettes" of "Ripidolite" Clinochlore. This is a nice small cabinet reference specimen for anyone interested in Italian Alpine mineral specimens. This piece was collected in 1985.
