Grossular Garnets (ex ex. Trimingham)

Item Description

Sharp, highly lustrous, rich cinnamon-brown gossular garnet dodecahedrons with striking gemmy sections make for a showy and attractive specimen from this well-known Maine locale. The large crystal is 2.9 cm on the diagonal. Periphery wear is noted, but this remains a fine representation of the species and locale. It displays well without aid. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
