Item Description

An outstanding and aesthetic hessonite grossular garnet specimen from this famous Vermont locality. Glassy, gemmy to translucent, deep amber to coffee-colored dodecahedrons, to 1.2 cm, with striking gemmy flashes under bright light are sculpturally stacked on the two-sided rib with complementary green diopside crystals. This is classic and very fine old combination material from the locale. Ex William Larson & his Pala International Garnet Collection - which was long on the display at the Fallbrook store. in San Diego area. This fine specimen is a competition level miniature for this extinct locale, and should be valued $900-1200
