Sharp, lustrous, finely-formed garnets of a pretty olive-green color cover the face of this really attractive specimen from near Dalnegorsk. The translucent dodecahedrons reach 1.7 cm. WOW! To my mind, this is a very interesting piece, as it is such a rich garnet from a locality which produces aesthetic pieces only in small supply -mostly giving up big plates of small crystals, only. I am told this is not far north of Dalnegorsk, and such garnets are often mislabelled as being from Dalnegorsk. valued $400
