Item Description
Tsavorite is the very rare green variety of grossular garnet and is considered to be the most valuable garnet varietal for gemstone cutting. The chromophore is chrome and vanadium. The gemminess and luster of this bright, grass-green crystal is stunning. The crystal has classic dodecahedral form. Complete all-around and pristine. The contact at the base even has a bit of included graphite. A large, very fine gemstone at 14.6 carats.
