Item Description

Beautiful, brilliant, gemmy, dark cherry-red hessonite crystals to 6 mm are richly scattered on the matrix plate covered with books of silvery-green, partially gemmy, clinochlore lamellae on this showy and excellent specimen from a classic Italian locale - Carboneri in the Pellice Valley. A bit of contacting is noted in the center of the piece, along with minimal perphery wear. This remains very highly representative and rich combination material from this noted locale.
