Item Description

Grossulars of this spectacular quality and size are rare from Grafton County. A 4.6 cm very highly lustrous (it looks polished), sharp, pretty mottled brown dodecahedron is dramatically perched atop quartz-grossular matrix. Part of the right edge is contacted, but this remains an outstanding and uncommon example of the species from this less well-known locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection from the Joseph Urban Collection of Tucson, according to the label. It displays very well without aid.
