Gemmy, lustrous, apple-green to olive-green, grossular garnets have pseudomorphed two, elongated, parallel-growth diopside crystals on this rare, highly unusual and showy thumbnail from the famous Eden Mills Quarry of Vermont. A couple of unaltered diopsides embedded in the garnets are a nifty accent. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Older material. Ex Dick Jones Thumbnail Collection.
