Item Description
Fine grossular garnet variety hessonite specimens, such as this, are very uncommon from the famous Ziller Valley. Lustrous, translucent, orange-brown, dodecahedrons to 7 mm are richly and attractively scattered across the matrix. All of the many crystals are pristine. They glow under bright light. Classic, old-time and rare material. Comes with a Franz Wiedemann label, which dates from about 1875 to the 1930s.
