Item Description
The Jeffrey Mine was the source of some of the most distinctive and magnificent quality Garnet crystals ever found. The rich orange "cinnamon" colored Grossular are celebrated for their unique orange color, gemminess, top luster and superb "textbook" form. This specimen is a cluster of excllent, quality, sharp, lustrous, soft peach colored, VERY gemmy, trapezohedral crystals with dodecahedral modifications of Grossular which measure up to 6 mm free of matrix. Very little damage. Jeffrey is finished, no more specimens will ever be found, so get these while you can. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
