Sharp, classic, lustrous and translucent, dodecahedral raspberry grossular garnets from Mexico. The composition of this thumbnail cutie is outstanding with the large crystal beautifully perched on the crown. This famous locality produced specimens in the mid-late 1990s. Good specimens are not common on the market anymore. These are some of the most distinctive garnets in the world and glow with color, when backlit. Ex Ed Bancroft Collection.
