Item Description
The famous Jeffrey Mine gave us some of the most magnificent quality and iconic Garnet crystals in the world. The "Cinnamon" Grossulars from Jeffrey are famous for their fantastic color, combined with excellent size, gemmy, superior luster and "textbook" habit crystals. This miniature specimen is features good quality, razor sharp, very lustrous, glowing orange color, GEMMY, dodecahedral crystals of Grossular which measure up to 1.2 cm across on sage-green Diopside on matrix. There is some damage to the piece, so it's not pristine, but the crystals are still attractive up close. This material is no longer being found due to the fact that the Jeffrey Mine is finished and will never produce these specimens again. Don't miss out on these fast-disappearing Canadian classic. Ex Charlie Key collection. Charlie is arguably the most successful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
