Item Description
The Jeffrey Mine has produced some of the most distinctive and magnificent quality Garnet crystals extant. The famous "Cinnamon" Grossulars from Jeffrey are known for their distinctive and alluring orange color, which combined with the superior gemminess, top luster and superb "textbook" form make for some killer specimens. This small cabinet display piece features top quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, glowing orange color (which ranges to a soft peach-orange hue), gemmy, striated dodecahedral / trapezohedral crystals of Grossular which measure up to 1.0 cm across covering the entire display side of the underlying matrix. No major damage, outside of the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. This material is no longer being found as the Jeffrey Mine is completely defunct and will not produce these specimens again. Don't miss out on this Canadian classic.
