Grossular Garnet (Bill Larson Coll.)

Item Description

A striking and uncommon example of the well-known grossular garnets from Mali. This sharp, slightly modified dodecahedral/trapezohdral crystal is highly lustrous, quite gemmy/translucent and has appealing variable shades to olive-green. The gemminess and color of this crystal are rare and exceptional for Mali grossulars. Complete all-around, all of the bruising/contacting is at the base or out of sight on the back. This excellent crystal was for many years part of the Pala Properties/Bill Larson Garnet Collection and was on display at the Fallbrook shop.
