Item Description
Here we have an interesting Grossular Garnet gem from an undisclosed locality in Kenya. Keep in mind that Kenya is famous for its Tsavorite Garnets, which are a variety of Grossular, but this stone is not quite the same hue as you'll see in Tsavorite. Although it's a bright green color (probably due to either chromium or vanadium content), it stands out as different from other Grossulars we've seen from Kenya. The stone is gem quality, but translucent in areas, due to some inclusions. It's a beautiful stone, and if you're a Garnet enthusiast, I'll be you don't have a gem quite like this in your collection. The stone has a "Round Brilliant" cut.
