Grossular Garnet

Grossular Garnet is a diverse species, as it occurs in a fairly wide color range, from red to green with various shades in between. If you go back to the late 1990s, there was a discovery of gem grade Grossulars coming out of Mali, and they still stand as one of the great Grossular discoveries in the last few decades. This material made a big splash on the market producing larger stones with strong colors. This particular stone has a beautiful greenish-yellow hue with virtually eye clean clarity and a standard "Checkerboard Round Brilliant" cut. A nice bright stone for any Garnet collector
