This is a beautiful specimen and possibly one of the best I've seen from this lesser known calcic skarn deposit in Inyo County, California. This attractive miniature specimen features several sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich orange-red color, dodecahedral crystals with trapezohedral modifications of Grossular measuring up to 7 mm associated with minor green Epidote and white Calcite on matrix. Classic skarn material, reminds me of similar specimens from Genesee Mountain Park, Jefferson County, Colorado. Ex Alex Cook collection.
