Grossular

Item Description

This piece is from a new discovery (early 2017) and features a couple predominant, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, lustrous, deep reddish-orange color striated crystals of Grossular measuring up to 7 mm with dozens of tiny sparkling "drusy" Grossular crystals on matrix from the Mana Mine in Pakistan. Minor prismatic soft green Diopside can be seen on the piece as well. I resembles "Hessonite" specimens that I've seen from Val d'Ala in Italy. The main crystals are in good shape and some smaller secondary crystals make for a good touch. A great cabinet display specimen for any Garnet collector, or a collector of Pakistan minerals.
