Grossular

Item Description

First off, I bought this piece direct from a Pakistani dealer living in Peshawar, so I have confindence that the locality is accurate. The crystals are certainly a different color from any Grossular I'm used to seeing from Pakistan, or virtually anywhere else in the world, as they have a soft somewhat metallic greenish appearance (almost as if there were included with Mica to create a shimmering internal refelction). The piece truly must be seen in person. The crystals actually have good luster and sharp faces in person. A really interesting display specimen of Grossular for any garnet collector. The largest crystal measures 3.1 cm across.
