Item Description
A very interesting and unusual Grossular Garnet specimen featuring a cluster of translucent dodecahedra with trapezohedral modifications. The piece could nearly be described as a "floater", as it only has a very tiny point on attachment on the bottom. The color to me is the most intriguing aspect as it's mostly yellow, but with gold and even cinnamon colored overtones. It's a subtle hue, but very distinctive, and rarely seen in Garnets from any world locality. The piece is from a find at the beginning of 2012, and to my knowledge, is one of only a few that were found. Hopefully we'll see more of these interesting specimens, but in the meantime, don't miss out on this little beauty. If you're a Garnet collector, a Chinese collector or a thumbnail collector, be sure to pick this one up.
