Item Description
Greenockite (cadmium sulfide) specimens are very rare from this Bolivian tin mine, perhaps the only active tin mine in the world where one of the main ores is a tin sulfide! The quartz crystal-covered matrix hosts about a half-dozen, glassy orange-brown, pyramidal greenockite crystals to 2 mm and a partial coating of earthy, orange greenockite. It is very uncommon to see both greenockite crystals and crusts from this locale.
