Item Description
Greenockite is a fairly rare Cadmium Sulfide, that is not often found in well-crystallized examples. This piece is one of the few Greenockites from the famous Route 25 road cut in Connecticut that I have seen. It features dozens of soft yellow color, micro crystals which are sitting on Mica schist matrix. The piece is from the Rich Kosnar collection, and is accompanied by a label from David Garske which states it was collected by Anthony Tylutki.
