Item Description
A truly gemmy, sharp tourmaline crystal from around 2002-2003 mining at the re-activated Pederneira Mine. It is pristine, sharp, and so symmetric that it looks carved and bevelled. Now, mining for tourmaline here is basically done, with the productive zone of recent workings blasted out through the pegmatite on 3 sides. Do not expect more of this style, quality, and visual beauty from this mine, after a good run the last 5-6 years. This particular crystal was put away by one of the partners in the mining venture in a stash, just released. He had 1600 euros as a price tag on this, at the time they came out (so, about $2100, but a price several years old). PRISTINE and complete 360 degrees around!
