Item Description
An aesthetic cluster of rare, green-tipped aquamarine crystals from recent one-time find in the Erongo Mountains. Each of the gemmy and lustrous crystals have good color, become gemmier toward their terminations, are partially included and have a distinctive 2 mm zone of green at their terminations. The thin, elongated crystal is 5.3 cm and has a pristine termination. The schorl below it is a nice accent. The trivial edgwear on the front of the large aqua is a very modest detraction and the notch on the back of the termination is a contact with no damage, per se. The left side is contacted and the contacting on the back is out of sight. This is the second Erongo aqua with green tips, that we have seen, in the years of mining there. This one is better than the first one we recently offered at auction. In person it is fat, dramatic, and has great geometry. Valued $1500-2000
