Item Description

An exceptional and aesthetic, two-sided, CABINET specimen from the famous Heights Quarry. The thin ironstone matrix rib is finely carpeted with microcrystalline quartz. Gemmy and lustrous, water-clear, interpenetrating, pretty sea-green, fluorite cubes to 1.0 cm are very richly sprinkled on both sides, along with scattered, tiny, matt-gray, galena crystals. Fluorite cube faces on the 'B" side are preferentially frosted by finest white quartz. This is a stellar example of the species and locality, collected in 1993. Ex Lindsay Greenbank # 371 and Jesse Fisher and Joan Kureczka Collections (by exchange to me). Lindsay is a noted English collector, as are they, so you know that this is a good specimen. SUPER fluorescence, frosted purple on long wave and rich purple on short wave.
