Item Description

This mine is renowned for it's superb pink Rhodochrosite specimens which are sometimes associated with green Fluorite. Typically the fluorites from the Sunnyside mine are octahedral in habit, and this is a good example of said material. The largest crystal measures 2.7 cm. Overall, the piece is in good condition. Some of the most classic and HIGHLY sought after Fluorites in all of the U.S. came from the historic Sunnyside mine in San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. An attractive and worthwhile specimen from the Colorado collection of Brian Kosnar.
