Item Description

Gratonite is a rare lead-arsenic sulfosalt and this excellent example is from the Type Locality. A striking radial corsage of sharp, splendent, metallic-gray, trigonal crystals is elegantly perched on the wedge of sulfide matrix richly covered on one side with individual gratonite crystals. The crystals reach 6 mm in the corsage. There are some bruised crystals in the corsage, mostly on the top, but the impact is very minimal. This is a classic, very fine and rare old-timer from this noted locale.
