Item Description

For what it is, this is a huge, spectacular and very rare nodule of lustrous, metallic, platy graphite jauntily embedded in granular quartz with muscovite plates on the base from the fabled Bancroft area of Ontario. Not necessarily a pretty specimen to look at, but this truly an exceptional and large specimen of native carbon from this locale. Most such specimens are micros! Older material.
