Item Description
A rarely seen specimen of Graphite with a given locality of Kunstat (German: Kunstadt) which is a town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The piece is a nice crystalline chunk of Graphite with a semi-metallic earthy luster and a dark grey hue. A cool piece for anybody who collects native elements (since this is just native carbon) or an admirer of Czech minerals. From the worldwide collection of David Burgess (1951-2016). David was a prolific species collector from Newington, Connecticut, and the namesake for the extremely rare cobalt arsenate species Burgessite, which he discovered. The piece comes with a label from Ernie Schlichter as well.
