Item Description

Goyazite is a fairly rare phosphate, and some of the lesser known specimens are found in the Yukon Territory. This area is only accessible for a few months per year and is rather treacherous terrain for collecting specimens. This piece hosts some attractive, sharp, translucent trigonal (pseudocubic) crystals of Goyazite with minor hexagonal crystals of Apatite plus Wardite on matrix. The blue spots are what I believe to be Lazulite. I have not seen many of these specimens on the market in several years, and this is a great phosphate association piece for any collector.
