Item Description

Beryl comes in virtually every color of the rainbow, but one of the more valuable shades of Beryl is the colorless variety, Goshenite. These examples are much more rare than Aquamarine, Emerald or Heliodor, and true Goshenite is only found in a few localities in fine quality gem material. Brazil has probably produced more good Goshenite gems over the years than any other country, followed by Pakistan/Afghanistan. The specimen is impressive as it features many very sharp and lustrous, gemmy, well-formed, prismatic, doubly-terminated, colorless hexagonal crystals aesthetically sitting on Muscovite coated matrix with a few accenting slightly smoky Quartz crystals. The largest Goshenite measures 1.2 cm long. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, originally valued at $450, but worth more today.
