Item Description

Mineral specimens from this old San Diego County pegmatite are rare, seldom on the market and are highly desirable. A sharp goshenite (colorless) beryl is EXTREMELY RARE. This is a pristine, sharp, gemmy/translucent, tabular crystal with internal veils and some inclusions. Older material collected by mine owner Norm Dawson in the late 1960s or early 70s, as the piece comes with a Hamel Mining & Minerals label dating to that era. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. A unique rarity for the locale and a MUST for the San Diego County pegmatite collector!
