Item Description
This is a great rarity for Beryl. I am calling the main crystal on this specimen a bi-color even though it shows two shades of white. The upper "cap" of the crystal is a bit more of a pearly opaque white, while the rest of the prism has a more translucent / slightly more gemmy quality. Technically Goshenite should be colorless, and this is mostly colorless, but not completely transparent. It's certainly rare for the species, as I can't remember seeing a Beryl specimen like this before. The Beryl measures 1.6 cm and is associated with beautiful twinned tabular crystals of white Albite sitting on matrix. Any collector who loves unusual and colorful Beryl crystals should consider this one.
