Item Description

Gormanite is a rare hydrated Fe-Mg phosphate with some of the finest specimens coming from the famous Co-Type Localities of the Yukon - Rapid Creek and Big Fish River. A large vug is filled with radiating clusters of lustrous, deep sea-green needles in the very sculptural swallowtail wedge of ironstone matrix. This is an exceptional and rich example of the species and locale from the Mark Mauthner and Art Soregaroli Collections.
