Gormanite (rare) (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

Gormanite is a rare phosphate species, and some of the finest examples found are those from Linópolis, Brazil. This piece is a wonderful robust small cabinet sized display specimen featuring several attractive rich blue-green colored "sprays" of Gormanite measuring up to 1.1 cm associated with lustrous white crystals of Albite on pinkish colored Microcline matrix. The piece sits well on its own without the aid of a base or clay. No major damage that I can see. A very worthwhile example of this hard to find material.
