Item Description
Goosecreekite is a very rare zeolite species, first described in 1980 from the New Goose Creek Quarry in Virginia, USA, but the most well-known and finest quality specimens are those from various localities in the Deccan Trap of India. The species typically forms in white opaque crystal groups, but a VERY tiny percentage of the material is actually GEM QUALITY! This stone is a ridiculously rare faceted example of this hard to find zeolite with a "Cushion" cut and slight inclusions. The stone is colorless, which is to be expected as I can't remember seeing a crumb of Goosecreekite that had any real color to it. I can say with certainty that this is the ONLY faceted Goosecreekite that we've ever had to offer in the auctions. I can't even find a reference for another gem quality faceted example after a brief Google search, so if you're a serious rare gem collector, you cannot afford to pass up on this unbelievably rare stone for your collection. I doubt highly we will have another anytime soon, so don't miss out.
