Item Description
A beautiful display specimen of the very rare zeolite species Goosecreekite on Amethyst from Jalgaon. The best examples of the Goosecreekite come from India, and they do not get the attention they deserve for their size and quality. These are simply the largest and most impressive crystallized Goosecreekites extant, and when you find a group like this on Amethyst, it leaves nothing to de desired. The Goosecreekite measures 1.8 cm, and has no damage that I can see with the naked eye. From the worldwide collection of David Burgess (1951-2016). David was a prolific species collector from Newington, Connecticut, and the namesake for the extremely rare cobalt arsenate species Burgessite, which he discovered.
