Item Description

A beautiful group of most unusually colored Dolomite rhombs from the famous Black Rock area in Arkansas. Typically, the crystals from this locality are a stark pinkish color, usually dotted with little metallic golden Chalcopyrites, but it appears to me that this piece was actually coated on all sides by a micro layer of Chalcopyrite, creating the attractive iridescent golden appearance. The largest rhomb measures up to about 5 mm, which is common for the locality. If you're a US mineral collector, or if you collect carbonates, don't miss out on this one.
