Item Description
A striking and excellent CABINET specimen of large, jauntily angled golden barite spearpoints from Baia Sprie. The lustrous and translucent, tabular crystals are richly peppered with sprays of metallic stibnite needles, really adding character to this fine two-sided piece. The 'A" side has only very modest edge wear, with the 'B" side has a bit more edge wear and a broken crystal. Golden barite with this size and quality of crystals, in combination with stibnite, is very rare from this historic mine. Older material. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Valued at $800-1000.
