Item Description
A SPECTACULAR, LARGE CABINET, jagged "mountain range" of sharp, gemmy, golden-amber tipped, calcite crystals. The lower "slopes" of the peaks are covered with "snow" (colorless calcite). The golden tips to the very glassy calcite crystals, which measure up to 17 cm long, dramatically add character to this fabulous piece. This is a complete all-around crystal cluster and can be displayed from any side. AMAZINGLY, it is nearly pristine on the body of the piece, with only one trivial bit of edgewear and all sides being otherwise pristine. There are 2 very slight termination cleaves on the large, isolated crystal and an adjacent minor one, though this is barely noticeable on close inspection only and is certainly not a visual detraction to this very IMPRESSIVE Elmwood calcite. It already comes with a custom-made lucite base costing over $150 by going rates for large lucite bases. The specimen and base weigh 10.1 pounds or about 4.6 kilos. Fairly valued at $2500-3000 for quality, aesthetics and size. A dramatic, large piece, that would add to any collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
