Item Description
An adorable, sculptural thumbnail bowtie of elongated, hoppered spinel-twinned gold crystals from Venezuelan finds around 2007-2008. The sharp, lustrous crystals have rich yellow color. These were sold as palladian gold, but analysis to date is inconclusive. See http://www.mindat.org/mesg-55-118936.html. Irregardless, this is a superb and uncommon small gold with fabulous form! 3.2 grams mass BUT Specimen value for cuties such as this sell for at the minimum of 4X spot and this one deserves to be more because it is so nice. Valued $1000-plus.
