Item Description
Gold specimens are VERY RARE from this well-known Chinese county, renowned for superlative beryl, cassiterite, kesterite and scheelite specimens from Mt. Xuebaoding. This sculptural thumbnail of vein gold is crudely crystallized to massive. It has a rich, mellow-gold patina with rust-red to brown faces. The striking crystallized top portion, with "columns" and "lintels" looks like a ruined Greek or Roman temple or Stonehenge! The current bullion value of gold is $1470/troy ounce USD or over $47/gram. 15 grams = $705. Specimen gold of this rarity is certainly worth more.
